Amazing pictures of Mars are being sent by NASA's Perseverance Rover since landing on Mars. With the help, many important information about the Red Planet is being received. Now this robot has taken a photo of a vegetation rock from Mars on Earth. The shape of this rock should not be the same as there is a hole in the middle. It is believed to be an unidentified meteorite. It is seen to be made of many stones. The pictures were captured by the rover's mechanical-sensing camera.
Association-based SETI Institute tweeted on Monday, 'NASA Perseverance used the SuperCam macro-imager on June 23, 2023 to photograph a distant donut-shaped rock that may be a large meteorite among smaller images. NASA's rover has previously discovered similar rocks on Mars. Earlier this year, NASA identified a structure that was reminiscent of a bear's face.
'Alien's door' was shown on Mars
In February, the Curio rover discovered an amazingly shiny metallic rock on the Red Planet, which turned out to be unique in that a meteorite made of iron and nickel. Earlier, Curiosity had seen another strange rock where the 'Alien Door' was going. This possibility caused a seismic disaster on Mars. In May, NASA's Curiosity rover on its 3,800th day on the Red Planet found a rock that looked like a book.
Why trees on Mars?
In the book this rock was named 'Terra Firme'. According to NASA officials, such a strange shape of Martian rocks is usually caused by the seepage of water in the area billions of years ago, when there was a lot of water on the Red Planet. NASA's Curiosity rover has been exploring Mars' Gale Crater since August 2012. At the same time, the Perseverance Rover continues its work in Zero Crater.
